Effects of Insecticide Deltametrin on Liver and Kidney Tissues of Wistar Rat
Abstract:   (21684 Views)
The overuse of pesticides is one of the main reasons for high consumption in nature Deltamethrin is used with widely in agricultural that has deleterious effects on some organs of the body. High usage and easy transferring of this pesticide on the one hand and health of ecosystems and biological cycles on the other duo to research. For this propose 50 adult Wistar rats about 200±15g were divided to 5 groups include control (without treatment), sham (received physiologic serum) and 3 treatment groups randomly. Treatment groups were injected peritoneal (2.5, 5 and 10) mg/kg/b.wt. After 14 days, the liver and kidneys were disected, fixed in formalin (10%) and placed in tissue processor. Prepared serial sections were studied with LM (10x & 40x). Obtain data analyzed by using SPSS (17) and ANOVA and groups were compared in significance level (P< 0.05) with Tukey's test. According to the results, changes in the nuclei of cells lining, the influx of lymphocytes and cell necrosis were observed in the liver tissue. Also significant reduction (p<0.05) were observed in glomerular diameter (in maximum dose), Bowman's capsule and collecting ducts diameter (in all three treatment groups) compared with the control group. Deltamethrin was dependent dose, effect on both organs, especially further degradation on liver.
