With the industrialization of societies and the new lifestyle and the epidemic of corona disease, the use of disposable containers has become a must. On the other hand, despite the harmful effects of plastic containers on human health, environmental pollution and the creation of nondegradable waste, society has moved towards the use of containers based on biodegradable polymers. These polymers should be selected according to the type of product and its storage conditions and lack of reactivity with food inside them. Active packaging changes the conditions of the closed atmosphere in a way that increases the shelf life of food. Active packaging methods can be used in the production of these disposable containers. In this study, we tried to collect research on the types of polymers used in the preparation of biodegradable disposable containers that show active properties. Different polymers can be used for production according to its source, but these packaging polymers must be able to be decomposed by nature or reused as animal and poultry feed after discarding. In this way, many pollutions and problems of using these containers will be solved.
